Hello, I’m Steph! Before I say anything, I want to say I’m so glad/sorry you’re here. Cancer is a terrible thing and you absolutely don’t deserve it.

I was diagnosed with stage 1B1 squamous cell carcinoma (cervical cancer) on May 30, 2023. I started searching high and low for resources and information about my condition, but I couldn’t find anything substantial.

I felt so disheartened, confused and scared, but I also knew my brain was in a fog, so I decided to document my journey on TikTok to 1) keep track of what was going on with myself and 2) share what I was learning in real time. I hoped to help at least one woman feel less scared and alone, even if it meant sharing extremely personal information with the world. I trusted the algorithm(s) to find my community.

As I was going through my journey and was forced to reframe every negative thought pattern I had about myself, I realized that there’s no way to fully understand how f*cking strong you have to be to physically and mentally battle cancer until you’re in it. But I also learned one thing for sure: it’s an automatic entry into the hot girl club because only hot girls have cancer. And that’s how the name was born.
