How To Support Breast Cancer Research in October

As we know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

While my experience and deeper knowledge lies in the cervical cancer world, Hot Girls Have Cancer is about supporting ALL women with cancer. So I rely on the expertise and experience of others to fill in the gaps.

Early detection with any cancer is so important, but as I talk with breast cancer survivors, they noted the attention on early detection while also expressing that metastatic research needs more support.

My goal is to eventually team up with experts in each specialty to provide more education for each specific type of women’s cancers, but as we grow to that point, my mission is to encourage and support women through the power of community and mental health support.

Q: So how does all of this this support BCAM?

A: Every Hot Girls Have Cancer purchase throughout the month of October not only empowers YOU during your cancer journey, but 10% of proceeds from your purchase will go support breast cancer research through METAvivor.

Q: Why METAvivor specifically?

A: A friend and breast cancer survivor recommended METAvivor to me. They fund research for Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in women and men.

According to METAvivor, 115 people die of MBC every DAY and “only 2-5% of funds raised for breast cancer research is focused on research for the already metastasized patient.”

These are the highest risk patients. These are the patients that need the most support from their medical and personal communities.

100% of donations through METAvivor go to MBC research.

Hot Girls Have Cancer is a growing company, but it’s important to me (Steph, HGHC Founder) that we give back to the cancer community in any way we can.

Cancer is an awful thing for anyone to experience.

We will be giving back to different cancer organizations that conduct research throughout the year, so please leave a comment to share your favorite organization(s) that Hot Girls Have Cancer can support and stay tuned for the announcement of each organization!

In the meantime, please enjoy these photos of a few of my breast cancer survivor besties who inspire me so much with their joy, perseverance and positivity.

XO
